The Nature of Reality

The Nature of Reality

Reality is what reality is (whether we like it or not). Reality is what is true. Reality
can be defined and described only by true statements. Any statement that is not
true is a product of ignorance or delusion or false teaching. Ignorance is the lack
of knowledge. Delusion is believing and wanting something to be true when it is
not true. False teaching is all around us and is put out by people that are ignorant,
delusional, or intentionally misleading others.

An all-powerful God exists. That statement is either true or not true. If it is not
true it is a product of either ignorance or delusion or false teaching. But if it is true
then all reality, all that is real, is a result of God’s will. The universe is just as he
wishes it to be and man is just as God created us, including man’s free will for we
our created in the image of God.

Sometimes our will contradicts God’s will and we separate ourselves from God.
God is spirit and he seeks worshipers that worship in spirit and in truth. If our will
does not align with God’s will then we cannot worship in truth, we worship in
ignorance or delusion.

To know the reality that is created and exists by the will of God we must come to
know God in a meaningful manner. We must not only know about God but come
to know God intimately.

God makes himself apparent to man in many ways and so, by observation, we can
know some things about God. But to know more about God we must learn from
the one that God sent into the world with a specific message. That one is found in
the form of Jesus of Nazareth and that message is found in the teachings of Jesus.
The message that Jesus teaches starts with “The Kingdom of God (heaven) is at
hand.” From there he carefully makes the Father (God) known to his disciples and
teaches them to enter into an intimate relationship with the Father. It is just here
that we must realize that Jesus taught reality. He taught his disciples to know the
truth! Jesus said in John 8:31b-32, “If you continue in my word, then you are truly
my disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

So following the teachings of Jesus frees us from ignorance and delusion about reality,
specifically spiritual reality. His teachings allow us to be capable of worshipping in
spirit and in truth. This brings us into closest relationship with the Father. Our will
is able to align with God’s will. We then find ourselves having entered into the
Kingdom of God.
